About $1 trillion of hardware that sits in global data centers is 100% CPU-based hardware. Thanks to the rise of Generative AI, those data centers will now need GPUs.
According to NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang: "The easiest way to think about that is over the next four or five, 10 years, most of that trillion dollars, and compensating adjusting for all the growth in data center still, it will be largely generative Al."
Nvidia released its earnings yesterday, and is about to make history with one of the biggest one-day market value gains ever.
NVIDIA is now the world's 6th largest company with a market cap of $940 billion.
